Twitter’s ‘chief censor’ making $17M per year could be fired by Elon Musk

NEW YORK POST — Twitter’s chief lawyer — seen as the social network’s top advocate for censoring conservatives — is among the highly paid executives who stand to lose their job if Elon Musk completes his takeover of the company.

Vijaya Gadde, who earned $17 million last year as Twitter’s top legal counsel, could be on the chopping block as Musk is reportedly planning to slash jobs and reduce executive pay as he looks to secure financing for his Twitter bid.

After disclosing plans to acquire the company earlier this month, Musk expressed “no confidence” in Twitter’s current management — which doesn’t bode well for their future once he takes the helm later this year.

Nevertheless, Gadde also stands to win a nice consolation price if she’s fired: a severance package worth $12.5 million that includes the accelerated vesting of a trove of Twitter shares she has accrued.

The 48-year-old Gadde, who reportedly broke down in tears when addressing colleagues about the future of Twitter, has become a lightning rod for controversy in recent days due in no small part to Musk himself, who tweeted a meme that painted her as oblivious to a “liberal bias” at Twitter. […]

    I doubt she was paid $17m in salary (‘earned’) — this is probably the assessed increase in value of her stock holdings and/or options.

    She should be deported and should have never been allowed to immigrate here.

    It cannot reasonably be claimed that being CEO and chief legal officer of Twitter are ‘jobs Americans won’t do’, can it? — I can more understand a preference for compliant Indians as normal engineers (albeit the vast majority of them are at best mediocrities), than I can the elevation of Indians to top positions — one explanation for the former is that once they achieve a ‘critical mass’ in a company, they have inordinate influence on hiring (it’s never just an HR decision), and it’s clear they prefer to ‘hire their own’ — imagine being white in America, and nearly every technical person you encounter during the interview process at a nominally American company is either Indian or Chinese, and obviously not born in America — it’s alienating and degrading.

    One reason Silicon Valley does not really seem to believe in free speech is that many working there are not Americans — they are foreigners (or Jews).

    They’re not coming here to assimilate.

    This is just another lie about ‘diversity’ — the essence of multiculturalism is multiple cultures, right? — it’s the opposite of assimilation.

    In Europe the common term is integration; by this they mean become more like Germans, Swedes, etc in both academic/professional success, as well as crime rates — expecting this is a form of HBD denial, or racial egalitarianism, both of which are destroying the West.
