THE HILL — Mike Judge, the creator of films such as “Office Space” and “Idiocracy,” said the latter movie may have been a little too optimistic in its timeline of American decline for the era of President Trump.
In fact, Judge told The New York Times Magazine in an article published Thursday that he’s not quite sure the United States will still exist in 2505 — the year in which “Idiocracy” is set.
The film centers around a dystopian future, in which mankind has devolved into abject stupidity after repeated generations in which the dumbest have the most children.
A corporation has replaced all water with a flavored sports drink and the president of the United States is a professional wrestler and pornographic actor named Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho. […]
