We began with Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which were not necessary to win the war or save American lives. It was to intimidate the Soviet Union by demonstrating a new bomb that could be used against it should conflict come to pass. We appear to be closer to nuclear conflagration than at any time in human history–and some are predicting that WWIII has become inevitable. Trump’s deference to Israel has never been more blatant that by FEMA issuing new guidelines that disaster aid will not be forthcoming for states that are critical of Israel on any ground, including genocide.
