After all, what would Iran stand to gain from assassinating Trump — especially now, while he’s ostensibly undergoing an ‘antizionist’ turn? And if this were about avenging Qassem Solemani, then we didn’t Iran do this during one of Trump’s previous visits to the ME? It wouldn’t make any sense at all, and a growing number of people would quickly figure out what had just happened.
