Okay, looks like I can comment again.
Great show- I was especially interested in the Riley Strain case. Interesting comments in response to Nancy Grace youtube on this case. If there’s a network of these killers, then seems like they have to have people working in these bars as part of it. And in this case, it really seems likely–how did he get separated from his friends? I read one story where it sounded like the bouncer wouldn’t let his friend leave with him because of an unpaid bar tab, but then another story denied that. On twitter, the “drowningvictims” guy said something about how they needed to investigate who (woman?) told the bouncer to kick him out. Seems like he was set up. Makes you wonder if the cops are in on it–how come none of these cases gets a proper investigation.
Too bad there isn’t more attention on these cases–young women know they have to be careful and watch their drinks so nobody slips a drug, but I don’t think young men have any clue that they need to be watchful as well.
On 10 April, in the thick of the war on Gaza, the Israeli government, facing a labor crisis, announced that it would fly in 6,000 Indian laborers during April and May on state-subsidized shuttle flights.
This decision follows Israel’s suspension of work permits for Palestinian construction workers, a move that has significantly impacted its building sector. Israel’s Finance Ministry estimates that the absence of Palestinian laborers is costing the economy about three billion shekels ($828 million) monthly, which could lead to a loss of three percent of GDP as the building and housing markets struggle with debt amounting to 400 billion shekels ($106 billion).
Simultaneously, New Delhi, overlooking the genocide and humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza, has agreed to send Indian construction workers to replace the displaced Palestinian workforce. This decision aligns with a bilateral agreement to integrate 100,000 Indian laborers into Israel’s construction industry, matching the number of ousted Palestinian workers. https://thecradle.co/articles/the-geopolitics-of-labor-israels-quest-to-replace-palestinian-workers-with-indians
