ETF NEWS — The Obama administration is determined to tighten gun regulations and background checks, and to add hundreds or thousands of veterans to a list that will prevent them from buying guns for sport, personal protection, or simply for pleasure because “guns are dangerous and can fall into the hands of criminals and terrorists.” At least that is the purported aim. Many of these people will lose their Constitutional right to own a firearm without any due process. And the real secret is the long term objective, which is to confiscate all guns from law abiding citizens, whether that takes months or years.
The irony is that while the Obama administration has been working overtime to take guns away from any number of Americans (and we are talking tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands), the Justice Department, under the direction of Attorney Eric Holder, launched a program called Fast and Furious early in Obama’s first term that placed thousands of guns in the hands of criminals, including exceedingly violent gang members, with the purported purpose of “tracking” them to Mexican drug lords, thus allowing Mexican and U.S. police to arrest and incarcerate these criminals. The end result, however, was that the Justice Department lost track of virtually all of the weapons, with a few notable exceptions.
So while Obama is doing everything possible to take guns away from law-abiding citizens, he was handing hundreds of high-powered weapons to criminals and other bad guys.
How does that make sense?
Hundreds of Mexican citizens were killed by these weapons. A U.S. Border Patrol agent was also murdered, and not one person has had to pay a penalty for the idiotic and badly administrated program. A new report has even more bad news for the administration. The guns didn’t just stay in Mexico, they traveled beyond the Mexican borders.
One of the guns used in the November 13, 2015 Paris terrorist attacks came from Phoenix, Arizona where the Obama administration allowed criminals to buy thousands of weapons illegally in a deadly and futile “gun-walking” operation known as “Fast and Furious.”
A Report of Investigation (ROI) filed by a case agent in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) tracked the gun used in the Paris attacks to a Phoenix gun owner who sold it illegally, “off book,” Judicial Watch’s law enforcement sources confirm. Federal agents tracing the firearm also found the Phoenix gun owner to be in possession of an unregistered fully automatic weapon, according to law enforcement officials with firsthand knowledge of the investigation.
The investigative follow up of the Paris weapon consisted of tracking a paper trail using a 4473 form, which documents a gun’s ownership history by, among other things, using serial numbers. The Phoenix gun owner that the weapon was traced back to was found to have at least two federal firearms violations—for selling one weapon illegally and possessing an unregistered automatic—but no enforcement or prosecutorial action was taken against the individual. Instead, ATF leaders went out of their way to keep the information under the radar and ensure that the gun owner’s identity was “kept quiet,” according to law enforcement sources involved with the case. “Agents were told, in the process of taking the fully auto, not to anger the seller to prevent him from going public,” a veteran law enforcement official told Judicial Watch.
The lawless Justice Department and the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agency under the department truly dropped the ball. There is no doubt the scheme was undertaken with approval and direction from the White House. Subsequent followup of some of the weapons that were tracked down later shows that they were designated as “violent recoveries,” meaning they were used in several mass killings. And shockingly, the program still exists, with weapons are being delivered to multiple countries beyond Mexico, including such things as grenades, grenade launchers, and military night vision goggles in addition to rifles and other guns. Russ – This article is disinformation. First, on ‘Fast and Furious’ – the F&F guns all went to a particular organization in Mexico, the Sinaloa Cartel, thus F&F was an attempt to arm the Sinaloa Cartel for the war they were then fighting for control of the drug routes through the Mexican city of Juarez, which borders El Paso.
Secondly, there was no ‘terrorist attack’ in Paris on Friday the 13th, 2015. Take a look at the photo of the Bataclan theatre- see any coats, jackets, purses? See any band instruments? Any cops or forensic folks? It was just another hoax.
I think the point is that they FOUND a gun. Could somebody have planted a Crime Syndicate weapon sourced from yet another criminal activity? That kind of mistake wouldn’t surprise me.
