For those of you still suffering from cognitive dissonance regarding my theory that the worst form of criminals are deliberately put into positions of power and authority, consider the case of of Timothy DeFoggi.
Usually these cases get a slap on the wrist, and sometimes the perps even get promoted. But in this rare instance, DeFoggi was felt expendable and was given 25 years prison time for engaging in a child exploitation enterprise, conspiracy to advertise and distribute child pornography, and accessing a computer with intent to view child pornography. Also demonstrating his unique qualifications for the job, the court ruling stated that he exchanged private messages with others in which he expressed an interest in the violent rape and murder of children.
This psychopath was appointed the acting director of cyber security at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The mission of the DHHS cyber security program is to “foster an enterprise-wide secure and trusted environment in support of DHHS’ commitment to better health and well-being of the American people.”
With trillions squandered on a police surveillance state, we are asked to believe a hardcore pedophile passes national security vetting and lands this post. Give me a break!
