Video of Man Alleged to Be Nice Truck Driver Emerges after Attack

An odd array of photos and now a video have emerged that beg the question: Who was behind really behind the wheel of the truck in Nice? The saga is unfolding like an old episode of the ’50s game show “To Tell the Truth.”

Here are some basic bits of consistent information about the driver:

  • Name: Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel
  • 31 years old
  • From Tunisia
  • Lived in Nice

That’s it. Everything else is anecdotal.

And we’re told that all of the following photos are of the said driver. Clearly, these are not all the same person. One can simply look at the shape of the ear to discern this, if nothing else. Also note that three different names appear on the widely distributed, poorly reproduced copies of his residence cards: Lahouaiej Bouhlel, Mohamed Salmene and Tsfralahouaiej Bouhlel Mohamed (in lower string). So which is it?

The start date of this residence is 2009, which means the photo is likely more than 7 years old.
Same info but different photo in this one.

To further add to the confusion, the following video is said to be of a man in Tunisia who claims to be Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel.

So what do you make of all this? Anyone care to explain these gross contradictions?

    • That does it for me…that was the bloody “snail trail” I was looking for. Count me in,…I’m sold…verdict: TRUCK HIT=REAL. As for who was driving though…I still lean towards CIA remote control.

Also, I like how they tied in the ‘ol Batacalan (sp?) incident on Friday with disclosure about testicles being shoved in vics mouths and eviscerations…..good stuff…no?

My guess is they also found balls in mouths at Pulse, but that was probably prior to the attack. Boom!

      • snail trail, how about the cam slowing up for 2 secs to ID anyone close up … the dummy being pumped in cpr had legs like the wicked witch of the east!

    • Adds up…

The whole thing was like a bankruptcy, really slow at first and then all of the sudden.

      Timeline of events

It took less than 30 minutes, and possibly just 15, for the man to carry out the attack in Nice.

Before 10:30pm approximately: Attacker boards white truck

The attacker boards a large white truck on the outskirts of Nice and loads his bicycle into the vehicle, according to regional government chief Christian Estrosi.

A police source later identifies the attacker as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a man known to police for petty crime and violence but not for suspected Islamist militancy.

10:00pm: Fireworks display begins at Nice promenade

A fireworks display attended by some 30,000 locals and tourists, including many children, begins near a tourist office on the Promenade des Anglais, a seafront boulevard lined with palm trees and wide walking areas.

10:30pm: Attacker enters Promenade with white truck, swerving and accelerating

The fireworks show ends. Soon afterwards the attacker enters the Promenade des Anglais in a white truck and drives down a stretch of about 2 kilometres fronting the “Vieille Ville” old quarter where many of the victims were killed.

The driver starts swerving to hit people on the roadway and on the wide pavements that overlook the strand and sea.

According to witness accounts, the truck of some 20 tonnes accelerates as it hurtles into the crowded area near a tourist office. Mr Estrosi later says the truck was travelling at about 90 km per hour.

The area of most destruction appears, according to early reports, to be in an area of about 500 metres between the Negresco hotel and the tourist office where the four lanes of roadway were closed to traffic in each direction and full of pedestrians.

      10:45 – 11:00pm Driver killed by police

The driver is shot dead by police. Social networks are by this time starting to relay images of devastation and chaos.
