“Art of the Deal” Big Brain Trump Pulls Off Phony Diesel Scam With Russia

This post is based on an analysis with Chat gpt.

Big Brain claims he made a massive diesel deal with Putin to save the day in the lead up to the Midterm elections. Whether his dwindling Magatard base can return to the fold with this stunt remains to be seen.

Before we go over the data, Big Brian already has an out as Ukraine has attacked a diesel transshipment terminal. Now he can blame the shortcomings on Zelensky.

Now as far the “deal” itself.

The IEA reports that Russian refinery throughput fell roughly 30% year over year through June. S&P Global estimates nearly half of refining capacity is now offline.

The initial shipment is plausible but modest. The announced 300,000 tonnes equal about 1 1/2 days of the U.S’s current diesel exports.- So very marginal relief.

Trump announced 500,000 tonnes in November, another million in December and an additional 3 million tonnes conditional on refinery conditions and repairs. In otherwords no more Ukrainian sabotage plus expedite repair, both highly unlikely. Effectively Putin is leveraging Trump to call off the dogs if he expects performance.

The terms also call for delivery to the “American and global marketplace”, which could mean about anywhere.

Chat’s assessment: Lifting sanctions does not repair refineries or keep  Ukraine from attacking them. Russia must also get the fuel on ships,

Conclusion; This gambit, like so much else Trump instigates, insdead on arrival.
