But main impact will be concentrated on the UK and Ireland.

US Midwest and fly over country would get temporary relief but refined products on West and East Coast would spike even more. It is a leaky expediency.
I’d be leaning towards assumption the “Diesel Export Ban” is another TACO…but the TACO would result in a bigger US diesel price surge and accelerated domestic shortages OTOH the longer he keeps it in limbo, a spread between domestic and foreign fuel grows…incentivizing more US exports, eventually driving domestic prices higher anyway from lower supply Enacting the ban artificially keeps domestic diesel lower…foreign diesel explodes higher…but then crude also runs higher as China ramps and US producers export more (at higher cost) instead of turning it into diesel at suppressed price.

Why has Putin allowed 40 percent of Russian oil refining capacity to be wiped out? There are logical reasons for the way he has proceeded with the war but still, really, 40 percent? And it takes years to rebuild. Maybe he really is a “Chabad” puppet or maybe as Jim Jatras says,maybe he is a “thick skulled Slav”? Nothing against him (wouldn’t want his job) he seems in a terrible situation there surrounded by enemies (NATO/ZioEmpire) which is why the Russian motto for centuries has always been “It’ll be worse next time”.
Another interesting note is that the reason the US has no refining capacity for all the the sweet crude it can pump out is because they have built no refineries SINCE THE 1970s !!! WTF. Apparently due to concerns about “Global Warming”.

Wow I am so glad I had time now to listen to the Ferocious Fury show with Russ, Joachim and Jim because (besides all the talk how nuclear war seems highly likely) I learned from the article Jim reviewed by Larry Johnson that though 40 percent of Russia’s diesel refining capacity has been destroyed, they are just shipping the crude to China and India and they are doing the job. That is good news, and also may explain why Putin is not so worried and is still plodding along like a snail to end the war in Ukraine. Trump doesn’t want China making money off diesel and I don’t know about India but Larry has refuted a weak spot in Brandon Weichert’s update about the refineries (no one can know everything that is going on these days it is all happening so fast).
