This mostly seems to be about more extortion of Europe for not supporting his criminal war and growing ostracism of Israel.
US Midwest and fly over country would get temporary relief but refined products on West and East Coast would spike even more. It is a leaky expediency.
I’d be leaning towards assumption the “Diesel Export Ban” is another TACO…but the TACO would result in a bigger US diesel price surge and accelerated domestic shortages OTOH the longer he keeps it in limbo, a spread between domestic and foreign fuel grows…incentivizing more US exports, eventually driving domestic prices higher anyway from lower supply Enacting the ban artificially keeps domestic diesel lower…foreign diesel explodes higher…but then crude also runs higher as China ramps and US producers export more (at higher cost) instead of turning it into diesel at suppressed price.
