And as bad as Trump is, he is still better then the putrid choice we were given in the last three elections.
I won’t quote from George Washington’s farewell address of 1796; it’s readily available to read online. Suffice to say that having just browsed thru it, 230 years later, I got the sinking feeling that the Great American Experiment of which Washington spoke so eloquently, and was so justifiably proud of, is deader than the cat I drove past on the road this morning. The Ancient Egyptian Empire, for all it’s faults, were a highly spiritual people; they didn’t merely “believe” in their religion, they lived it on a daily basis. And so existed 3,180 years, as a singular national entity.
But then, they didn’t have cell phones (I don’t think they did). The American Empire has been circling the drain at least since the Kennedy assassination, and probably even earlier, since the US Civil War (it’s finally being recognized that the Southern States had the constitutional RIGHT to secede, but that’s another story). But to keep on topic : George Washington had bad teeth, but a brilliant mind. Donald Trump has great teeth, the mind not so much…
And as has already been noted, the movie “Idiocracy”, is not a comedy; it’s a documentary.
Whether it is Trump or an impersonator, the end game is to cause Americans to be willing to give up in nationalism in favor of a global government. Trump’s poem about the snake and the woman was about him as the snake and the United States as the woman. Since we ‘let’ him back in, now he is going to kill the United States. If he officially establishes the North American Union then he first wants to make sure Americans don’t fight back. He wants us to be so ashamed and discouraged by our president and government that we happily accept global government rather than defend national sovereignty.
