FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr slammed the Biden administration on Friday – writing on X that President Joe Biden has yet to connect a single American with high-speed internet.
“Meanwhile, the Biden Admin has been layering a partisan political agenda on top of this $42.45B program – a liberal wish list that has nothing to do with connecting Americans. Climate change mandates, tech biases, DEI requirements, favoring government-run networks + more.”
I work in utilities and telecom. There are a lot of people at work in Colorado and Texas saying Fiber companies are magically appearing in their neighborhoods offering life time pricing on new fiber lines being installed where Comcast/Xfinity once had a monopoly. We couldn’t even get a phone line installed outside of Xfinity 3 years ago and this fiber company has laid lines down and is offering very competitive rates. I told my wife there must have been government funding for it to happen overnight like this.
