Alot of KSA capital is tied up in their Public Investment Fund but it is not liquid cash. Chat says the foreign currency reserves are their big war chest. Gold is not a major lever for KSA.
Those holdings are USD and Euro deposits in banks, US Treasuries (KSA has $142 billion) and stocks. Here are two good takes on the polemic of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) or “Super AI” vs the Orthodox Elite Tech Bro’s (OETB) view on Super AI.
The first one is from a programmer who notes that we need to differentiate between the various forms of AI. Obviously asking a question to Grok such as “what is healthier white bread or wheat bread” is different than building a computer system that can ultimately duplicate itself with robot technology to actually build a physical infrastructure for itself at the expense of the rest of living beings. It is hard to imagine that is possible but the expert believes that if humans were smarter in the first place they would not have created AI at all (I think that was his point). The title seems like click bait but both speakers are very thorough and logical.
