Norm Finkelstein in a recent interview took it upon himself to insert the salami strategy into the Israel and Jewish Question.

Once again, the “safe” (and very well financed place) to be is attacking the Truthful Right.
I don’t think standard Jewish supremacy entered into his thinking, that’s not who Norm is. But he is overwhelmingly a left-right Hegelian dialectic Trotskyite. Bi-partisan agreements on the obvious conclusion of genocide are not possible for Finkelstein as he is totally dominated by his Marxist liberation ideology. He exemplifies a boomer trapped in the left right dichotomy which he doesn’t realize isn’t relevant anymore.
Finkelstein asks incredulously and rhetorically whether anyone can possibly believe right wingers care about suffering and oppression, dismissively concluding they don’t and all ostensible concern for Palestine is really just about antisemitism. So he has little grasp of the human moral nature which also doesn’t fit the Dialectic.
He just ignores that America First sentiment from the right is also about saving America from being hijacked by Zionism. For the political right, the question of Israel/Palestine is of vital self-interest, as it pertains to the loss of American sovereignty. That’s not particularly important to a Trotskyite.
The most important distinction between left/Marxist and right/libertarian criticism of Israel is that the former is likely to see Israel as simply an outpost of American imperialism, while the latter see Israel as having almost exclusive control of American foreign policy through the influence of its vast lobby as defined by Mearsheimer and Walt.
In an interview with Briana joy Gray, Finkelstein revealed he literally has never had hobbies outside of politics. Just 1960s era Soviet sympathetic liberation theology leftism.
If your core belief is solely anti-extermination that’s not really enough for Norm. He tries to link such sentiments to antisemitism as if “noticing” is not the driving force behind current geo-political winds. He also states that the ZOG noticing is an antisemitic conspiracy theory while at the same time laying abuses to free speech on campus at the feet of three specific Jewish billionaire moneybags. That confined blame is more szalámitaktika manipulation.
Accordingly he feels he needs to claim ownership of the Palestine oppression and thus question the sincerity of what he claims are Johnny Come Lately right wingers. As usual in this debate all focus is put on Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, who have come to symbolize “antisemitic” right wing opposition. This in itself is unfortunate as it is also part of the szalámitaktika manipulation. The phony anti-Israel is anti-semitism ploy is more irrelevant insertion into the salami strategy.
