VOICE OF EUROPE — Another bloody day has come to an end for the European minority in South Africa. This comes against a backdrop of heightened tensions in the country amid sustained violent attacks on the Afrikaner Boer farming community.
Two elderly women were murdered in two separate instances in the town of Lichtenburg. One of the victims being a 73-year-old woman was stabbed to death and nearly decapitated in her bedroom.
The other woman was shot to death in her vehicle a few roads away from the first murder. Security personnel have labelled the situation ‘code-red’ and are expecting further attacks.
A 25-year-old farmer was also shot in the head in the town of Ficksburg. He was airlifted to a Hospital in Bethlehem and remains in a critical condition. […]
