Here Is Who Donald Trump Wants for Treasury Secretary

By Dan Primack | 19 July 2016

FORTUNE — Donald Trump has told prospective donors that, if elected president, he plans to nominate former Goldman Sachs banker Steve Mnuchin for U.S. Treasury Secretary.

That’s according to Anthony Scaramucci, a high-profile hedge fund manager and Trump fundraiser.

Mnuchin, who is a former donor to Hillary Clinton, spent 17 years with Goldman Sachs GS 0.22% , where his father also had been a prominent executive. He later worked with investment groups affiliated with George Soros, including as chairman of controversial mortgage lender OneWest Bank Group (which would later be acquired by CIT Group). He also has spent time as both an art dealer and film producer.

Earlier this year, the 53-year-old Mnuchin joined Donald Trump’s campaign as national finance chairman. []

  1. These Goldman Sach connected Jews have such excellent records monopolizing the running of the economy and nation, so by all means bring in even more.

  2. Trump is the outsider we need to clean up Washington. He is going to make America Great Again. Trump 2016!

  3. For Christ’s sake, how do you think 3% of the population runs the United States of Israel. You can be smart as fuck and the chances for success in business pale in comparison to a mediocre Jew with access to capital. Trump “get’s it” and is playing accordingly….playing the Jew as a patsy is one thing, embracing him is another. Understanding the difference is key.
