The 500 meter deep missile cities may be partially exaggerated. But most bunker busters work to 60 meters. 500 meters isn’t necessary. One of their most dangerous buster is the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP). The Depth (Penetration Capability): •Up to ~60 meters (≈200 ft) of earth •Up to ~8 meters (≈25 ft) of reinforced concrete.

The “war” is theater. All of it.

Nonsense, there are mining operations that routinely go 1000 meters. 500 meters is not a big deal especially if you incline into the base or side of a mountain or range.
