This is reminiscent of when Bhuddist Monks set themselves on fire in protest of the Viet Nam Conflict back in the 60’s. A horrible way to die then and now. Both of which were and are nonsensical and needless with no reason to have innocent people killed because of greed in the guise of ‘collateral damage’. I’ll bet you won’t hear of this on MSM news channels, My soul hurts.
Brave and Christ-like. If that does not move you to the gut core, and neither does the vicious and cruel genocide happening in Gaza–then you’ve lost your Humanity and your own worth.
Committing suicide for a cause is never a brave act. It solves nothing, changes nothing, and saves no one—which actually makes it anti-heroic. Nor can this act be compared to the sacrifice of Christ for the sins of the world—an act which only He could do:

Has it occurred to anyone that it might be staged. Designed to make pro Palestinian protest look fanatical and mental. And right in front of Israeli embassy.
I agree, especially since they don’t show the person being consumed, just a blurry rectangle.
There was something similar, as I recall, during the initial ISIS crisis (in 2014?). they showed a western captive in a cage, and lit a fire around the cage. never saw him being consumed though.

It is a slow motion genocide of the most vicious and cruel there ever was in our time. If you haven’t seen what’s going on, you can’t be touched. As a Humanity, we are all connected and interconnected on a soul-heart level. Some people’s souls are far more sensitive to fellow-man and to see such cruelty on a whole swath of people, as it includes children and babies, does become unbearable when no help is coming to the situation to rescue them. What is your first and natural reaction to a drowning person–would you rescue without first criticism and thought? Or would you just stay in your fishing boat and debate whether you will or not? With Aaron Bushnell, God BLESS his brave act for Humanity, being in the military, he probably had a front row seat to the whole EVIL beyond words that is taking place there in Gaza.
Why are people supportive of this young soldier’s self-immolation as a “protest” against Israel, when far greater crimes happen every day in many nations? What about the genocide in China and its organ harvesting? Should a “brave soldier” cut out his own organs in protest? What would that achieve?
What this man did is tragic. It makes as much sense as a woke son of ours (about the age of this soldier) who went on a self-inflicted “hunger strike” for the Palestinians. He lasted seven days and then declared “victory” because he believed he got some Democratic politicians to take action.
Why now? Why this cause? What of the genocide of Christians in virtually every Muslim nation? Organ harvesting in China? Who is protesting and demonstrating against these daily atrocities? If self-immolation or starvation was the answer, there would be no one left standing.

Maybe disobeying a direct order, whether legitimate or not, and enduring a court marshal leading to a dishonorable discharge would have been a better, more heroic way for Aaron to protest U.S. military policy in ersatz Israel…

I am in Austin , Texas for a while . I tell you the amount of INDIFFERENCE , REALLY COULDNT CARE LESS ATTITUDE SEEMS LARGE HERE AMONGST SO MANY .
