‘We’re not closing anything going forward …’

HEADLINE USA — Gov. Ron DeSantis lifted all restrictions on restaurants and other businesses in Florida on Friday, and banned local fines against people who refuse to wear masks as he seeks to reopen the state’s economy despite the coronavirus.

The Republican governor’s order unleashed fresh debate in the politically divided state, where pandemic responses have become intertwined with the upcoming presidential election.

DeSantis, a major ally of President Donald Trump, acknowledged that the pandemic is far from over, but he said the threat has eased and the time has come to reopen for business.

“We’re not closing anything going forward,” DeSantis said, while insisting that the state is prepared if infections increase again.

The governor said he would stop cities and counties from collecting fines on people who don’t wear face masks, virtually nullifying local mask ordinances.

“As an act of executive grace, all fines and penalties that have been applied against individuals are suspended,” the governor said. […]

  1. http://tapnewswire.com/2020/09/ultimate-proof-covid-19-was-planned-to-usher-in-the-new-world-order/ Some states ‘never closed.’ You can still see tyrannical health departments imposing the cdc nonsense to promote phase 2. You walk into the South Dakota Historical Museum they have a long table asking you to take your temperature, document your name and wear a mask. This is in Pierre, the capital of SD… Many, many living in fear wearing masks, even small children. Try to talk to one and she said she wasn’t interested in hearing about the mask. Looks like they trust the stupid health departments more than their gov. So sick of this sham. People are too fearful to think, or just compliant.
2 Timothy 1:7 – For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

    • Thanks for the SD report – I am taking a close look with a thought of relocating there. Love the 2 Timothy! – “sound mind” – I wonder if you would find more sound minds in small town/city SD? The “art workers” no doubt “went to college” – and are lost souls!

The FL move bears watching. I saw the gov’s news conference – all couched in, call it, CDC orthodoxy but the full reopening is surely a significant breaking of ranks. And he did hold a public conf call with three important dissenting scientists – the Harvard, Stanford, Oxford guys.

One report I heard from a “restaurant row” in a major city said: “atmosphere like New Year’s eve” – that sounded promising.
