I read somwhere that JM Keynes was involved in designing and writing of the Versailles treaty on the end of the first world war for the British empire, which dictated the financial demise of Germany in the Weimar republic.

Lloyd George confirmed that “Professor Ashley and Mr. Keynes are thus the joint authors of the long-term indemnity which was incorporated in the Treaty.”16

If this is as described his tenure was the likely cause of the second WW, as “Versailles” was the main reason for Hitler to restore economic viability of Germany plus dislocated Germans outside of rest Germany and go to war for it if neccesary.
