CBS NEWS — Web hosting company GoDaddy said Sunday it is cutting off white supremacist website the Daily Stormer after the site posted a scathing article about the woman killed at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday.

At the same time, posts on the site claimed the mysterious web hacking group Anonymous had seized control of the Daily Stormer, but Anonymous later disputed the claim.

In response to a tweet from activist Amy Siskind, GoDaddy tweeted that it had given the Daily Stormer 24 hours to move its domain to another provider for violating its terms of service.

Siskind, who describes herself on her Twitter page as, “President and Co-Founder of The New Agenda. Advocate for women’s, LGBTQ rights, equality. Woman behind The Weekly List,” had tweeted GoDaddy about a Daily Stormer article about Heather Heyer’s physical appearance and what the extremist site depicted as her anti-white male views. […]

  1. Anonymous is run by the CIA. Back in the early days it was a legit underground operation of a random collective. Until someone higher up and more experienced in it was raided by the FBI and told he would go to prison or make $200k a year working for the CIA as a mole. Since that day, it has been infested with moles and agents and has become farcical, comical, and wholly unbelievable compared to the force it was early on. From time to time it attacks low hanging fruit to make it seem like it is still active, still some rogue group of online vagrants. Those not in the know join in thinking they are part of the crowd.

  2. Andrew Anglin’s Daily Stormer, the hardest-hit of all the censored internet sites, is back online at the .lol internet domain, seriously

He has domain name registration via NameCheap, and anti-DDOS protection via Bitmitigate, both apparently ‘pro free speech’, at least for the moment
